Espresa has included employee rewards and purchases from Hispanic-owned businesses in a guide to marking Hispanic Heritage Month at work. Published on May 30, 2026, the guide sets out 14 activities for office-based, hybrid and remote teams ahead of the September 15 to October 15 observance.
One recommendation is to use Hispanic-owned businesses for employee rewards, holiday or anniversary gifts and workplace catering. For organisations with international teams, Espresa suggests considering marketplaces that can ship across borders. The proposal connects recognition spending with the businesses selected to supply it.
The guide asks employers to involve Hispanic and Latino employees, including relevant employee resource groups, in planning. It also recommends respecting individual preferences about identity and participation, rather than treating employees’ backgrounds or experiences as interchangeable.
Its cultural activities include showcases of music, dance, art and food; educational workshops; lunch-and-learn sessions; and interactive cooking or dance events. Other suggestions cover books and films, music playlists, trivia or traditional games, and voluntary sharing of personal or family stories.
Employee profiles and guest presentations are another option. Beyond the workplace, the guide proposes partnerships with community organisations, volunteering, fundraising, matching donations and activities connected with scholarships or internships.
Espresa also suggests short opportunities to share what participants have learned and to collect feedback. Language classes appear among the 14 ideas, with the company identifying lifestyle spending accounts, stipends and organised events as possible ways to support cultural learning.
The references to lifestyle spending accounts and other allowances reflect Espresa’s employee benefits offering. Its guide presents these as potential tools for funding activities and learning; it does not describe measured results from a particular employer’s Heritage Month programme.
