EzePrepaid described several roles for digital gift cards in sales and marketing in guidance published on June 20, 2023. The All Digital Rewards division proposed using incentives at different stages of the customer relationship, from initial acquisition to repeat purchasing.

The company suggested gift cards and prepaid rewards as ways to draw attention to an offer and encourage a prospect to engage. It also discussed recurring reward programmes and referral schemes as potential applications after a customer’s first interaction.

For retention, EzePrepaid linked the choice of incentive to the action a programme seeks to encourage. Repeat purchases and referrals were among its examples, with rewards intended to recognise a customer’s continued relationship with the business.

Distribution costs were another consideration. The company argued that digital delivery can remove some physical production and postage expenses, although it did not supply a fee comparison or a measured return on investment for a particular campaign.

The guidance presented planning and incentive selection as the basis for improving programme economics. It described EzePrepaid’s own digital reward offering, rather than reporting a new customer contract or independently measured sales results.
