Floward launched the Floward Card in Jordan with GateToPay and Mastercard on January 21, 2026, combining a prepaid gift card with its flower-delivery service. At launch, customers could order through Floward’s website or app.
The product was presented as an alternative to giving cash at weddings, graduations and Eid celebrations. Recipients could use the prepaid payment card for purchases, while the flowers retained the presentation associated with a personal gift. Mastercard’s network supplied the acceptance reach, with GateToPay participating as the fintech partner.
Floward Chairman and CEO Abdulaziz B. Al Loughani described the initiative as a way to adapt established gifting customs to cashless payments and acknowledged support from Jordan’s central bank. Mastercard country manager Saud Swar positioned the collaboration as part of the development of digital payments in Jordan.
The Amman launch brought together representatives of all three companies. GateToPay General Manager Rasha Asfour emphasized the partners’ combined expertise in building the service. Floward Chief Financial Officer Abbas Sayed Almohri and Jordan Country Manager Ayman Khalifeh were among those attending the launch.
