Hopfengarten has joined Sindelfingen’s city gift-voucher network, giving holders another place to spend prepaid balances on food and drink. The city’s economic-development company announced the beer garden’s addition on July 20, 2026. The change adds an acceptance outlet to an existing scheme, rather than introducing a separate Hopfengarten card. [S1]
An established voucher network with documented loadings
The city-voucher programme already has a record of promotional loading. The organiser reported roughly EUR 150,000 loaded during the July 2025 bonus campaign and roughly EUR 190,000 during the November–December 2025 campaign. Both ended when the funds available for extra credit were exhausted. These earlier programme-wide figures show the scale of credit issuance before Hopfengarten joined; they measure neither its sales nor the effect of its admission. [S4] [S5]

The summer bonus had to be spent by August 31, 2025, and the winter bonus by January 31, 2026. Those temporary bonus deadlines are distinct from the ordinary programme page, which says buyers can choose the amount loaded and spend vouchers for three years at participating businesses in Sindelfingen, Darmsheim and Maichingen. Vouchers are sold online and at local retailers and banks. [S2] [S4] [S5]
Acceptance determines which local purchases that stored value can support. Felix Rapp, managing director of Wirtschaftsförderung Sindelfingen, highlighted the mix of retail, hospitality, services and leisure when announcing Hopfengarten. The venue adds a dining option, but the July announcement gives no redemption volume or evidence of incremental spending attributable to it. [S1]
Programme restrictions still apply: the city voucher cannot buy other vouchers, and the municipal i-Punkt accepts it only for tickets to events in Sindelfingen. Joining the network therefore broadens the available outlets within those rules. Merchant fees and settlement arrangements for Hopfengarten are not disclosed in the reviewed announcement or programme page. [S1] [S2]
Hopfengarten is a self-service beer garden at Rudolf-Harbig-Strasse 8 near the Glaspalast, with around 250 seats according to the announcement. Its website describes an Alpine-style hut as a planned extension for year-round operation. The July statement also said its winter Punschwald would accept the city voucher. Those sources establish planned winter use, without confirming completion of the hut or year-round service. [S1] [S3]
