Jeju Special Self-Governing Province temporarily raised the monthly Tamna Jeon spending allowance eligible for cashback from KRW700,000 to KRW1 million. Announced on September 4, 2026, the higher ceiling applies from September 5 through October 31, while the cashback rate remains 10%.
A larger monthly allowance at the same cashback rate
The change increases the maximum monthly cashback from KRW70,000 to KRW100,000. A user reaching the eligible spending ceiling in each of September and October can therefore receive up to KRW200,000 across the two months. This is a reward limit attached to qualifying spending, not a grant paid automatically to every user.

The province said it had secured KRW26.65 billion in supplementary funding and an additional KRW4.45 billion in national-government funding. Those amounts describe the funding reported in the announcement; they should not be treated as the face value of vouchers already sold or as measured consumer spending.
Jeju framed the autumn measure as support for household purchasing power and local merchants during Chuseok and the October holiday period. Its own earlier-period comparison shows why the incentive structure matters: when the cashback rate was temporarily 20% in February 2026, reported monthly Tamna Jeon spending reached KRW94.78 billion. The province said 71.5% of that spending went to merchants with annual sales of KRW500 million or less. These are reported programme outcomes for February, under a different rate, rather than a forecast for the autumn offer or proof of additional spending caused by cashback.
The current operator site describes the renewed Tamna Jeon service as open to residents, visitors and merchants, with card-free charging and payment, dedicated cards, merchant-benefit lookup and gifting functions. Its January 9, 2026 service launch is separate from the September cashback amendment.
The September provincial release also referred to further work on QR payments and links with student IDs, K-Pass transport benefits and the Nauda Jeju sports incentive programme. It did not announce those integrations as completed launches. For this autumn measure, the confirmed change is the eligible spending ceiling; the 10% reward rate and the distinction between funding, spending and cashback remain central to interpreting its scale.
