Finland's social insurance institution Kela has opened a gift-card procurement with an estimated value of EUR1.75 million, seeking one supplier for employee anniversary gifts.
The official notice was published on September 8. It calls for both electronic and paper gift cards, alongside an online portal through which recipients can choose a suitable card from the supplier's offered selection.
The requirement combines delivery of the gift instrument with a choice service for the recipient. The public notice does not identify an awarded supplier, specify participating retail brands or quantify the number of cards to be issued.
The planned contract runs from February 1, 2027 to January 31, 2030. Kela retains an option for a further year, through January 31, 2031.
Bids are due by October 14, 2026 at 11:00 UTC through the designated electronic submission service. The notice identifies an open procurement procedure.
EUR1.75 million is the estimated procurement value, rather than completed gift-card sales or supplier revenue. More detailed specifications are referenced in an annex that was not available in the reviewed public evidence.
September 8 is the original publication date. The preceding day's notice submission and later aggregator ingestion do not establish separate announcements.
