Gewerbeverein Klettgau is preparing a digital voucher network combining gift balances, merchant rewards and employee benefits in a physical card and app. The association describes a late-November 2026 consumer launch; the municipality’s published invitation identified November 28. Its October 15 presentation was a recruitment event for businesses, rather than the consumer launch. [S01] [S02] [S03]

Published fees clarify the cost of joining the planned network

The dedicated KlettgauCARD website is now accessible, with programme information and partner tariffs, while its homepage still says the card is coming soon. The tariff page lists different standard connection fees for gift-voucher acceptance and employee benefits. It also advertises a waiver for the first 50 gift-voucher partners and first 10 employer partners, without stating how many places remain. [S05] [S06]

The data behind the story

Standard fees excluding VAT. The first 50 gift-voucher and first 10 employer partners are advertised as free; availability is unknown. The association’s separate overview still quotes EUR 129 for acceptance partners, an unresolved discrepancy. These are fees for different modules, not a before-and-after price series.

There is a material inconsistency in the published information. The association’s product overview quotes EUR 129 for acceptance partners, whereas the dedicated tariff page quotes EUR 119. A press-report copy hosted by the association also reports EUR 119 and the first-50 waiver. The chart follows the dedicated tariff page and keeps the conflicting EUR 129 figure visible; the documents reviewed do not explain the difference. [S01] [S06] [S07]

For gift vouchers, the tariff page specifies a 2% redemption charge with a EUR 0.20 minimum per transaction, free loading and automatic settlement every two weeks. Alternative merchant models are offered for certain low-ticket businesses, charities and fuel retailers, without a published price. Employee-benefit loading starts at EUR 1.80 per card; optional personalisation costs extra. These recurring or optional charges are separate from the connection fees. All the tariff-page prices exclude VAT. [S06]

The planned card can be loaded with up to EUR 250 a month and redeemed in parts at participating Klettgau businesses. Registered users can store the card in the app and transfer remaining credit after losing the physical card. The operator’s participation conditions confirm that unregistered cards cannot receive that loss protection and exclude cash withdrawals and purchases of other vouchers. [S01] [S08]

The association names trolleymaker GmbH as technical and administrative operator, with Baden-Württemberg funding and Volksbank Klettgau-Wutöschingen sponsorship supporting the project. The product page was originally published on September 11. Its proposed combination of local gifts, merchant rewards and employer-funded balances remains a rollout proposition: the reviewed material does not establish issued balances, completed consumer transactions or a sales uplift.
