The Municipality of Ourém has approved fixed-value shopping vouchers for students as part of the seventh edition of its annual local-commerce Christmas campaign. The September 22 announcement follows a council decision September 21. [S01]
Student awards and a separate draw
Students attending schools in the municipality are to receive EUR50 in school-social-assistance band A, EUR30 in band B, or EUR15 where no such band applies. The vouchers are to be usable at participating businesses from December 1, 2026 through January 31, 2027. [S01]

Published entitlement amounts, not actual issuance or redemption. The municipality did not disclose recipient counts by band. The approximately EUR95,000 campaign allocation also covers the separate shopping draw and cannot be assigned wholly to student awards.

| Band B | 30 EUR per student |
| No assistance band | 15 EUR per student |
The municipality approved about EUR95,000 for the overall campaign. That amount also covers a separate branch involving a draw for three EUR50 shopping vouchers per participating establishment; it should not be presented as the value of student vouchers alone. [S01]
The wider shopping campaign runs from December 1 through January 6, with its draw scheduled January 12. The student-voucher spending period extends later, to January 31. These are distinct deadlines within the same annual programme. [S01]
Ourém says the campaign is intended to stimulate local purchases during the Christmas period. The announcement gives no completed issuance or spending results and does not establish a final merchant count, student-voucher subtotal or electronic balance mechanism. [S01]
