Riba-roja de Túria is using digital vouchers worth up to EUR500 per eligible child to direct family assistance into participating local shops, under its 2026 Cheque Bebé +25 campaign. [S01] [S02]

The September 16 municipal notice opened merchant participation in the campaign. Family applications run October 1-23, with an initial public appropriation of EUR104,605.36 in the official rules. The award is a maximum subject to available funding; the platform allows for prorating if required. [S02] [S03]

Funding the next cohort through a digital local balance

The earlier Cheque Bebé +2024 rules provided an initial EUR58,880, compared with EUR104,605.36 in the current +25 rules. Both calls set a maximum of EUR500 per eligible child. The larger initial funding envelope does not establish a larger payment to each family or a higher number of awards. [S03] [S04]

The data behind the story

Initial funding for two Riba-roja child-support calls

The two calls serve different cohorts. The 2024 rules covered qualifying events from April 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024. The current +25 label covers qualifying births, adoptions, fostering or guardianship from October 1, 2024, through December 31, 2025. Its application window is in 2026; it does not cover every child born in 2026. [S02] [S04]

The 2024 rules described a named booklet divided into EUR20 cheques. The current campaign instead supplies a digital balance after the award decision, delivered by email with a QR or 16-digit code. Recipients can display it on a phone, print it or use the Bonos Comercio app, with each eligible purchase reducing the balance. [S02] [S03] [S04]

Cámara Valencia manages the platform and merchant-validation process. Participating shops scan the QR code or enter the code; the rules do not require a magnetic-stripe payment terminal. Customers can pay any amount above the available balance separately. [S03]

Recipients have one month to spend from the day after publication of the beneficiary list. The clock does not begin when a family submits an application. Unused value expires under the programme terms. [S02]

Spending is limited to eligible child-care and household essentials in participating local physical shops. Online purchases and specified categories, including alcohol, tobacco, gambling, hospitality and fuel, are excluded. The programme also excludes supermarkets above 300 square metres. [S02]

The campaign combines targeted assistance with local acceptance. Its disclosed budget and award ceiling do not show how many families will be approved, how many merchants will participate or how much value will ultimately be redeemed. The legal document’s separate approval date remains unverified; this article retains the dated September municipal campaign notice.
