Tianjin Airlines has sought suppliers to broaden the merchandise available through its own gift-card redemption catalog. A procurement notice dated September 9 and posted on the HNA aviation group’s platform on September 14 covered fresh-food specialties, seasonal gift boxes, household and personal-care products, pantry goods and business gifts. The proposed arrangement uses consignment, with suppliers paid after sales rather than before goods are sold. The airline would reconcile actual sales monthly and pay suppliers after invoicing. The notice does not provide a forecast volume or contract value for this project.
Fulfillment combines bulk deliveries to designated locations and direct shipment to individual customers. Suppliers would bear logistics costs and include tax, packaging, transport and other charges in their quotations. Applicants also needed product-quality evidence and authorization for any branded collaborations.
Applications and samples were due by September 16 at 10 a.m., and each supplier could propose up to 10 products. The notice describes a selection process followed by cooperation agreements; it does not identify selected suppliers or confirm that new redemption products have gone live. The change concerns sourcing for an existing gift-card catalog, rather than a newly launched airline gift card.
