TripGift announced an expanded travel rewards platform on September 8, bringing its eight gift card brands together with a Travel Value API and configurable promotional vouchers. The launch targets businesses building travel rewards into customer, employee and partner programs.
The company says buyers can purchase travel gift cards in 103 currencies and recipients can redeem them across more than 180 countries. Its reported inventory exceeds 2.9 million travel and lifestyle options, covering accommodation, airlines, ground transport, tours, activities and events.
API integration and campaign controls
TripGift’s Purpose-Bound Promotional Vouchers let organizations specify the destination, travel category, brand or experience for which promotional value is intended. The API connects that travel value to reward, incentive, loyalty and promotional programs. TripGift identifies financial institutions, insurers, retailers, employers and loyalty providers among its intended business users.
How recipients redeem travel rewards
TripGift’s product website explains that recipients create an account, choose their travel, enter traveler details and redeem the available value at checkout. When a booking costs more than the gift card or reward balance, the recipient can pay the difference using an accepted payment method.
The gift cards work within TripGift’s own travel platform. Its portfolio spans flights, accommodation, car rental, tours and experiences, with separate brands covering different journeys and booking needs.
For corporate buyers, TripGift lists bulk gift card orders, employee recognition, sales incentives, customer promotions and loyalty fulfillment as business applications. It also offers partner connectivity and embedded booking, allowing customers to search for and book travel through a partner’s website or application.
