Runa described changes to its platform's bulk gift card ordering process in November 2022, replacing repeated manual entry with a spreadsheet upload. The company recommended the workflow for orders of ten cards or more.

A business could upload a CSV containing recipient email addresses and the amount allocated to each person. The ordering process also let the sender choose a currency and select the brands recipients could choose from, or make the full available selection accessible.

The platform highlighted errors in the uploaded data for correction before the order proceeded. Runa also described email delivery and redemption data available in the dashboard.

The update combined central ordering with individual reward values and recipient choice. It was intended to make sending rewards to a group more manageable while preserving a different amount for each person and a defined catalogue for the programme.

The announcement concerns improvements to the existing bulk-order workflow, rather than a requirement that every gift card purchase meet a ten-card minimum.
