Digital Plus, the Japanese operator behind Digital Gift, reported approximately ¥32 billion in annual fintech transaction volume for the year ended September 2026. Its October 5 preliminary update put the total at 249% of the previous year and above an initial ¥25 billion target. [S01]
Fourth-quarter volume reached approximately ¥11.6 billion, up 19% from the preceding quarter. The company said the business had grown for 26 consecutive quarters. Those figures cover its fintech operations, which include Digital Gift, shareholder rewards and Digital Wallet; they are not a measure of gift-card sales alone. [S01]
Growing volume, with margin still to follow
Quarterly growth fell short of the company’s expectation of at least 20%. Digital Plus cited a seasonal concentration of shareholder-reward activity in the third quarter and usage of a Hokkaido benefit programme that came in below its initial assumptions. [S01]

The update did not provide a gross margin on distributed value. Digital Plus said calculation was taking longer because of new business areas and the effect of breakage. It plans to report the figure in a business-progress video or its annual results. [S01]
Digital Gift, operated by Digital Fintech, serves corporate programmes that let users exchange accumulated points for options including electronic money and gift vouchers. Its product information identifies gift-card categories spanning apps, games and restaurants, alongside cash, payment services and other points. The platform therefore connects incentive issuers with multiple redemption destinations. [S02]
For the gift-card industry, the result is evidence of activity at a distributor operating across several reward and payout channels. The mixture of those channels matters when interpreting growth: a larger total does not establish how much value went into merchant gift cards, how quickly recipients redeemed it or what the operator earned.
The missing margin figure also leaves the commercial quality of the increase unresolved. The next financial disclosure will be needed to assess how the higher flow of value translated into profitability.
