EzePrepaid outlined design and measurement considerations for digital reward programmes in an overview published on May 8, 2023. It discussed gift cards alongside loyalty points, discounts, exclusive content and access to experiences.
The provider described several delivery channels, including email, mobile applications, social media and QR codes. It recommended choosing timing and presentation around the intended customer interaction, such as a birthday, purchase milestone or feedback request.
Personalisation was a recurring theme. EzePrepaid suggested using customer preferences and purchasing history to select relevant rewards, while keeping the experience consistent with an existing loyalty programme.
For measurement, it named retention, repeat purchase rate, average order value and customer lifetime value as possible indicators. It also recommended collecting customer feedback and reviewing transaction and engagement data when adjusting a programme.
The overview used established programmes, including Starbucks Rewards and Toluna Influencers, to illustrate different reward models. These examples were descriptions of other businesses’ programmes, not newly reported EzePrepaid customer deployments.
Although the article described itself as a study, it did not present a new survey sample, experimental method or original performance dataset. Its contribution was provider guidance on structuring and reviewing digital rewards, with benefits described as the company’s assessment.
