Giftbit’s 2026 Incentives Trend Report finds that rewards offering recipients access to its full gift card catalog accounted for 41% of sends. The company said use of that broad-choice format increased 38% in its analysis of proprietary transactions from 2024 and 2025.

Rewards without a claim-by deadline represented 58% of sends, with Giftbit reporting growth of 10% for that option. It contrasted those programs with time-limited promotional rewards, which it said were more often used for campaigns seeking a quick customer response.

The report also identified differences in redemption behavior. Consumers were claiming rewards more quickly, while employees and disbursement recipients were taking longer to make their selections. Giftbit said those differences supported designing programs around the recipient group rather than applying one common format.

Reward size was another factor. The company reported that values below $100 tended to go toward everyday treats such as coffee or food services. Above $100, selections shifted toward essentials, including groceries and household items; amounts above $500 showed a further move toward travel and higher-end retail.

Giftbit recommended wider recipient choice for general programs and more targeted, single-brand offers for specific marketing actions. It also discussed the reuse of funds from unclaimed time-limited rewards. These findings describe activity on Giftbit’s platform during 2024–2025, rather than an independently measured share of the entire incentives market.
