LINE NEXT said on September 24 that its initial stock of Korean merchant gift vouchers sold out during a campaign for Japanese travellers. The company secured additional inventory numbering in the tens of thousands and announced sales would resume that day through Unifi mini.

The disclosure concerns vouchers for Korean outlets including Olive Young, Daiso, CU and E-Mart24. Unifi mini is a LINE mini app through which Japanese users can purchase merchant vouchers before travelling to South Korea.

The company did not disclose the size of the original stock, transaction revenue or the number of individual buyers. The additional inventory figure describes vouchers secured for future sales, rather than confirmed completed purchases.

The campaign heavily subsidized first purchases: qualifying new users registered in Japan could add the Unifi LINE account, receive a JPY1,000 discount coupon and pay JPY100 for a KRW10,000 merchant voucher. The yen payment and discount are distinct from the won face value. Those first-purchase conditions limit what the reported sellout can establish about ordinary-price demand; the release does not measure unsubsidized buying or subsequent redemption.

LINE NEXT also said it would continue expanding usable merchant locations. It did not identify a completed new merchant rollout in this announcement. The new reported event is the inventory outcome and restocking decision, rather than a newly launched wallet or a new issuer partnership.
