Abu Dhabi Mall has introduced a new gift card for purchases at participating shopping, dining and entertainment outlets. In an October 8 announcement, the mall set October 9 as the launch date, alongside its 25th-anniversary activities. [S01]

The card can hold AED 50 to AED 3,000 and remains valid for 12 months from purchase. Its balance can be spent over multiple purchases, with a QR code on the back or the product website providing balance checks. The announcement presents it as a way to give recipients a choice across the mall’s participating outlets. [S01]

The linked product terms identify Abu Dhabi Mall as the issuer and GIFTIFY MENA DMCC as its technical service provider. Cards are sold at the mall’s customer service desk, and the FAQ states an AED 10 issuance fee, including VAT. A personal message can be added for the recipient. [S02]

The local product FAQ also lists an AED 15 replacement charge, including VAT. For a lost or stolen card, it says the charge is deducted from the balance and the replacement keeps the original expiry date. These are charges for different card services, not merchant fees or a measure of programme revenue. The page's generic rate table says that a sales-channel charge may apply; the local FAQ supplies the explicit amounts shown here. [S02]
