Diggecard presented its gift card platform to UK restaurant and bar operators at Restaurant and Bar Tech Live in London, according to a company update dated November 4, 2021.

The company said more than 200 hospitality brands in Norway were using its platform. Functions included selling digital gift cards, creating branded designs, managing redemption and reporting on sales.

Examples named in the update included Sumo Restaurants, the Ulriken643 attraction and Skyskraperen restaurant in Bergen, and the Michelin-starred Renaa restaurant. Diggecard cited customer accounts of easier administration and additional sales channels, without publishing a common performance measure across those businesses.

In the UK, it described managing elements of Azzurri Group’s gift card program for Zizzi and Ask Italian. That arrangement illustrated a more customized service for larger hospitality operators alongside the standard platform.

Diggecard also promoted B2B distribution through its Gift Card Marketplace and other business sales channels. The company’s pitch to hospitality brands was to connect consumer gift card sales with demand from organizations purchasing rewards, incentives and promotional gifts.
