Diggecard outlined several delivery models for employee gift card rewards in a February 14, 2019 guide to recognition programs.
The company described physical and digital cards that businesses could purchase in bulk or distribute using personalized services and API connections. Its product discussion therefore covered both consolidated orders and integration with a wider reward process.
Recipient choice was another option. Diggecard identified Gift Card Marketplace and DiggeChoice as ways to let an employee select the gift card that suited them, instead of requiring the employer to choose a brand in advance.
The guide placed gift cards alongside other forms of recognition, including a meal with a manager, an event invitation or a bonus. It presented the choice as dependent on the role, sector and purpose of the recognition.
Experience categories such as dining, concerts, theatre and travel were offered as examples of matching rewards to interests. The company’s service proposition combined card selection with the delivery method needed by the employer.
