Ezeprepaid set out considerations for using prepaid cards in business incentive programs in January 2023. The provider addressed rewards for employees, customers and partners, with the card funded to a defined value before use.

The guide contrasted wider spending choice with programs restricted to selected vendors. It argued that choosing between those approaches should reflect the organization’s objectives and the preferences of its recipients.

Ezeprepaid also discussed controls available through a card provider, including PINs, transaction monitoring and fraud alerts. These were presented as features buyers should consider when assessing a program, alongside the conditions governing how a card could be used.

Administrative cost was another theme. The company said prepaid distribution could simplify parts of the incentive process and offered customized prepaid and gift card solutions for program managers.

The guide’s decision framework combined product fit, spending flexibility and the provider’s supporting services. A business could therefore evaluate different prepaid options against its audience and budget instead of treating all stored-value rewards as interchangeable.
