JCB added its official online gift-card orders to J-POINT Partner on September 16, 2026. The offer doubles the standard earning rate for eligible JCB ORIGINAL Series premium cards at Gold level or above, after the holder registers for the offer. It rewards the purchaser’s card account without increasing the gift certificate’s face value. [S02]
The offer adds one bonus point to the ordinary earning unit
JCB’s ordinary rate is one J-POINT per JPY 200 of eligible spending. The gift-card listing describes its two-times rate as one ordinary part plus one bonus part, giving two points on the same earning basis when the offer conditions are met. The chart compares those published earning rates, not historical customer balances or transaction volumes. [S02][S04][S06]

Eligibility requires a registered JCB ORIGINAL Series premium card at Gold level or above and the official online purchase route. Standard points are calculated across the billing-period eligible spending, not by rounding every small transaction separately. Separate annual-spend bonuses and other campaigns are excluded.

Holders must register before using the official online ordering route and pay with an eligible card. A combined MyJCB login does not register every card: each eligible card requires its own offer registration. The listing states that non-premium cards are excluded and that some JCB debit cards cannot make the purchase. It gives no fixed end date and allows the period to change. [S02]
The bonus is normally displayed in MyJCB around ten days after the billing cutoff, approximately the 25th of each month. That display timing is distinct from the programme rules governing the ordinary points’ award date. No enrolment, order-volume or additional-sales results are disclosed in the offer. [S02][S06]
The yen value depends on redemption, while delivery still costs extra
JCB’s current redemption table values one point at JPY 1 through MyJCB Pay, JPY 0.8 toward eligible JCB Travel bookings and JPY 0.7 for Amazon purchases or card-bill cashback. These are different ways to use the same point, not extra earning bonuses. A headline maximum of JPY 1 per point therefore does not mean every redemption has that value. [S04]

At the JPY 1 redemption rate, two points per JPY 200 have a maximum face-value equivalent of 1% before costs; at JPY 0.7 per point the equivalent is 0.7%. The extra point alone accounts for half of those amounts. These calculations use the published earning and conversion rates and are not a claim of realised customer savings. [S02][S04]
Official online orders carry a JPY 550 delivery charge, including tax, for each delivery address. JCB warns that card issuers may set a separate gift-card purchase limit and that shipping charges count toward that limit. Optional packaging and any card-financing costs can also affect the order. Completed orders cannot be changed or cancelled at the customer’s request. [S05]
The certificates themselves come in JPY 1,000 and JPY 5,000 denominations, have no expiry date and do not provide change. They are for eligible physical merchants in Japan, with exclusions set by the merchant; JCB’s gift-card guide says they cannot be used for online shopping. The point offer changes the buyer’s reward, while the recipient retains those certificate-use rules. [S03]
