Meal Train has appointed InComm Payments to manage the supply and fulfillment of gift cards ordered through its platform. The exclusive arrangement adds to the ways participants can support people after a birth, surgery, illness or another significant life event.

The assortment covers physical and digital cards for meal delivery, groceries, restaurants and other consumer brands. Meal Train customers also gain access to InComm’s proprietary gift card products, with different visual designs intended to suit the occasion and message.

Meal Train’s core service lets an organizer create a free page to coordinate food deliveries and share information such as allergies or dietary requirements. Gift cards provide an additional option for supporters who cannot prepare or personally deliver a meal.

Meal Train chief executive Michael Laramee said its purpose was to make support easier to organize and that assistance sometimes needed to extend beyond a prepared meal. InComm said the broader selection would help participants choose a form of support suited to the recipient’s circumstances.

The partnership places gift card ordering within an existing coordination service rather than asking supporters to arrange purchases separately. InComm handles the product supply and fulfillment behind that experience.
