InComm Payments has added Ontario travel-plaza operator ONroute to its Canadian retail distribution network. The partnership will place prepaid and gift cards in convenience-store locations serving travelers along the province’s 400-series highways.

The rollout covers 23 travel plazas. ONroute sites combine food, fuel and retail services with markets and convenience stores that operate around the clock.

InComm said the assortment would include branded prepaid and gift cards across retail, food, fuel, gaming, restaurants, clothing and entertainment. The agreement extends the company’s products into a channel where customers can purchase cards during an existing travel stop.

ONroute president Melanie Teed-Murch said the company wanted to add services and brands its customers needed while traveling. InComm described the agreement as an expansion of its prepaid distribution within convenience retail.
