PeX has ended direct exchanges into Ponta points ahead of a planned replacement using Ponta Point Codes. The rewards platform announced the change on September 16 and closed applications for the existing route at 11:59 p.m. Japan time on September 25. [S01]

The company said it planned to introduce exchanges into Ponta Point Codes during October 2026. Its notice did not provide an exact launch date, exchange rate or detailed redemption instructions, and said the start date would be announced separately.

The transition replaces one named redemption route within PeX. The September notice establishes the closure and planned code-based successor; it does not confirm that the replacement was already available at that point.

PeX is operated by DIGITALIO and allows members to exchange accumulated points for rewards including electronic money and gift vouchers. [S02]
