Stadsie announced local gift cards for Rotterdam, Utrecht and The Hague on September 22, 2026. The coordinated expansion gives each city a dedicated acceptance network for consumer and business gifts. [S01] [S02] [S03]

Three city launches, three separate acceptance lists

The launch releases reported more than 80 participating shops and hospitality venues in Rotterdam and more than 60 each in Utrecht and The Hague. A fresh reading of the three public directories on October 19 found 74, 57 and 56 distinct location-profile entries respectively. The chart measures those published listings; the sources do not explain the difference from the announcement figures, so it cannot establish merchant departures or network contraction. Rotterdam’s listed venues include Emma’s Bookshop, several Jordy’s Bakery branches and hospitality businesses such as NOTK. Utrecht lists The Streetfood Club, Ruby Rose and Paloma; The Hague lists Plenty, Pazze e Pizze and Restaurant de Basiliek. Distinct branch records remain separate in the census, while repeated image, address and name links to the same profile count once. [S04] [S05] [S06]

Cards carry EUR 10 to EUR 150 and allow partial spending. Each city directory restricts its card to that city’s participating physical locations. This is not evidence that a Rotterdam card works throughout the operator’s other cities. The cardholder conditions specify 24 months from purchase and prohibit reloading or exchanging the remaining balance for cash. Merchants may impose the permitted product restrictions. The merchant agreement confirms no joining fee, subscription or transaction commission. Separately agreed materials or extra services may still cost money. Redemptions are processed through the operator’s app, with monthly credit invoices and payment due three working days after the invoice date. The agreement prohibits a surcharge or minimum spend for paying with the card. [S08]

The launch releases describe a EUR 1 buyer contribution and give EUR 51 as the example price for EUR 50 of credit. The consumer and business purchase conditions separately state that the impact contribution attracts VAT and that webshop amounts exclude VAT; consumer totals are shown at checkout. The launch example should therefore not be read as a verified final delivered price for every order. [S01] [S02] [S03] [S09] [S10]

The September releases listed nine active cities and Amsterdam, Haarlem and Amersfoort as forthcoming. Earlier network-wide card sales and spending totals do not establish results for these three launches. The observed directories show where recipients can investigate acceptance, while city-level sales and redemption outcomes remain undisclosed in the material reviewed. [S01] [S02] [S03]
