UPay has published a comparison of apps marketed around cryptocurrency mining and rewards, while acknowledging that many do not mine cryptocurrency on a phone.
Its June 3, 2026 guide includes Pi Network, StormGain, CryptoTab, NiceHash, EMCD, Honeygain, RollerCoin, Bitdeer, COIN and ECOS. The services described use different models, so their inclusion in one list does not make them equivalent mining products.
The distinction is clearest for mining management software. NiceHash states in its own documentation that its mobile app manages an account and mining activity, including remote rigs and hash-power orders. It does not use the smartphone’s processing power to mine.
Other examples in UPay’s comparison concern participation rewards. The guide describes Honeygain in terms of sharing internet bandwidth, COIN around location-related activities and tasks, and RollerCoin around gameplay. These
