Virtual Incentives has outlined how brands can use virtual Visa reward cards for employee recognition, research payments and customer incentives. Its December 2021 guide focuses on delivering a prepaid card electronically instead of mailing a physical reward.
The company describes cards with a unique payment number, delivered by email and intended for eligible online and telephone purchases. At the time, it said its offering supported delivery to more than 50 countries in US or Canadian currency.
Recipients can spend the value loaded onto the card, while program operators can customize delivery elements such as subject lines, names, product descriptions and brand messaging. Virtual Incentives also highlights access from computers and mobile devices.
For administrators, the provider lists ordering, tracking and reporting among its services. Removing physical card production, packaging and shipping is presented as a potential cost and materials benefit of digital delivery.
Virtual Incentives recommends the format where a program wants to offer spending choice beyond one store or restaurant. Its guide describes features of its 2021 offering rather than a universal acceptance guarantee for every prepaid Visa product.
