InComm Payments has detailed cash-to-card options for stadiums and other venues moving to cashless sales. Its April 2023 guide describes a staffed service using TRNSX mobile point-of-sale technology and an optional self-service kiosk route.
At a customer service location, a visitor can exchange cash for an open-loop gift card and use it at the venue's card-accepting terminals. InComm says remaining funds can be spent after the event within the applicable payment network.
The cards are white-label products that can be branded for a team or venue. The company states that loaded funds have no expiry date and that there are no after-purchase fees under the offering described.
Self-service kiosks provide another way to convert cash and dispense a ready-to-use card. InComm says these are supplied through industry partners at an additional cost, with flexible pricing, and are monitored as part of the service.
The provider describes the kiosk arrangement as covering operational tasks such as card management, cash handling, on-site support and spare parts. That separates the payment conversion service from the venue's main concession operations.
At the time of the article, InComm said its cashless venue technology was already in professional football and baseball stadiums, major university stadiums and concert or festival sites. The guide does not name a new stadium deployment; it sets out the options available within the existing offering.
