Member Access Processing announced support for ATM cash recycling on March 28, 2023. The offer is intended for credit unions that use MAP to operate their cash machines.
MAP contrasted recycling with an arrangement in which deposited cash remains in a separate storage compartment until collection. With recycling, the ATM checks deposited money for authenticity, sorts it and places suitable notes in the secure dispenser for later withdrawals.
