Reloadly has explained how gift cards reach the reward catalogues used by employee recognition programmes, separating the merchant, distribution infrastructure and user-facing software into distinct roles. Its guide describes a supply chain that is often hidden behind the points balance and redemption screen seen by an employee.
At the first layer, the merchant or gift card brand determines the product's denominations and the markets where it is available. The infrastructure layer aggregates brand relationships and handles functions such as delivery and reconciliation. The recognition application then manages the employee experience, including points and access to the catalogue.
Reloadly places providers including Tango, Tremendous, Tillo, Runa and Giftbit alongside its own service in that infrastructure discussion. It separately identifies recognition platforms such as Bonusly, Achievers and Workhuman. The guide's distinction is between obtaining and delivering the reward and operating the recognition programme around it.
A catalogue's brand count does not equal its product count. One brand can have separate products for different countries, currencies and denominations. Reloadly says its own catalogue includes more than 1,000 brands and 14,000 products, illustrating why a buyer needs to examine product-level coverage rather than relying only on a headline number.
Larger recognition programmes may use more than one supplier, selecting a route according to the country, reward type, availability or cost. Supplier commercial terms also determine the platform's cost; the face value displayed to a recipient does not by itself reveal what the programme pays to source the reward.
Reloadly says its services cover more than 150 countries and 100 currencies. The article also discusses airtime, mobile data, utility payments and prepaid products as alternatives in markets where the required gift card choice is limited. Its API offering spans several of these reward types.
The guide notes that a single integration still requires attention to local brand gaps, denomination differences and dependence on the supplier's availability. For a recognition operator, the central purchasing question is how well the underlying products, delivery process and commercial arrangements match the countries and reward choices employees actually use.
