ROLLER has corrected a gift-card reporting problem in which the value recorded as sold could change when customers later redeemed their cards.

The fix appears in the company's September release notes [S01], published September 24 for a release dated September 22. It concerns the Value Sold field in the Gift Card Sales report.

For venue operators, the practical issue is the separation between the amount sold and subsequent use of that value. A sales figure that changes after redemption can make it harder to compare issuance and spending over time.

ROLLER's gift-card product information [S02] describes reporting for sales, redemptions and outstanding deferred revenue. Its platform supports physical and digital cards purchased at a venue or through online checkout, with redemption available through both channels. These are existing capabilities that provide context for the reporting correction.

The September release also fixes incorrect deferred revenue remaining on past bookings. ROLLER lists that as a separate reporting issue.

The notes do not say that cardholder balances changed or quantify affected transactions. They also do not state whether venues need to regenerate previously exported reports, leaving the disclosed change limited to the corrected reporting behaviour.
