Runa announced Push to Card on March 10, 2025, adding payouts to recipients’ existing debit or prepaid cards using Visa Direct and Mastercard Send. The company described the service as supporting instant payouts across more than 190 countries.

Businesses can connect the capability through the Runa Send API alongside existing gift cards, prepaid rewards and digital wallets. The release identifies gig-worker payments, approved claims, commissions and incentives as intended uses.

Runa said the service would let senders originate funds in 18 currencies and pay out in 160, with the recipient’s local-currency amount shown in advance. Those are the currency capabilities described in the launch announcement.

The company also highlighted Runa Assure, its security suite for payout fraud, cyber threats and compliance risks. It positioned a common integration and security layer as a way to reduce fragmentation across payout methods.

CEO Aron Alexander said recipient choice and speed were central to the approach. The announcement presents instant delivery and cost advantages as Runa’s service claims; the destination, card and payment arrangement remain relevant when a business evaluates coverage.
