Thyaga’s Shopify app lets merchants accept its gift vouchers in stores priced in Sri Lankan rupees. The Shopify App Store lists September 9, 2026 as the launch date, identifies Thyaga as developer and support provider in Colombo, and lists the English-language app as free. That marketplace price does not disclose every commercial term between a merchant and the voucher provider. [1] [2]
Connecting voucher face value with an order
The issuer’s general multi-store product offers eight preset purchase values, from LKR5,000 to LKR150,000, as observed on October 19. These give concrete examples of the stored value a recipient may hold. The form also accepts a custom amount, and Thyaga’s FAQ specifies a wider permitted range starting at LKR500 and ending at LKR150,000. The smallest preset is therefore not the minimum purchase. Issuer purchase options, not Shopify order values, sales or redemption volumes. The FAQ allows custom amounts from LKR500 to LKR150,000. Foreign-currency payment displays are excluded; the Shopify app explicitly supports stores priced in Sri Lankan rupees.

According to the app developer, a shopper enters voucher details, verifies through a one-time password and selects how much value to use. The selected amount is applied to the order as a discount in the cart or checkout. Merchants connect a Thyaga account and can track redemptions against orders; the listing also describes automatic restoration of unused voucher balances. [1]
Thyaga’s own FAQ separately confirms partial redemption, retention of the unused balance, and use of a general voucher across multiple participating merchants. It says a recipient can pay any amount beyond the available balance using a method accepted by the merchant. General vouchers and category-specific vouchers have different merchant scope, and combining a voucher with another promotion depends on that merchant’s conditions. [5]
The FAQ gives vouchers six months from issue. The website terms identify Etcetera Solutions (Private) Limited as Thyaga and say purchased vouchers are not refundable, while providing replacement of an inherently defective voucher. They also require redemption before expiry and note that individual merchants may impose their own conditions. These product terms are separate from Shopify’s listing of the app as free. [5] [6]
LB CIM’s September 18 account of a separate partnership describes a network of more than 200 Thyaga partner merchants. That establishes broader network context, not the number of Shopify stores adopting this app. Neither the marketplace listing nor the reviewed issuer material supplies Shopify transaction volumes, completed merchant deployments or a measured commercial result from this integration. The advertised scope remains rupee-priced stores. [1] [3]
