Zil Money has described the customization and fulfillment options within its existing check service. In a May 14, 2025 article, the company explains how users can design personal or business checks and print them on blank stock rather than order a fixed batch of preprinted checks.

The design tools described include names, fonts, logos, backgrounds and other elements arranged through a drag-and-drop interface. The article says users can work from a phone, tablet or computer and print through a regular printer.

Templates for different payment purposes

Zil Money discusses using separate designs, categories and memos to distinguish rent, donations, gifts and other expenses. On-demand printing allows the user to produce the number of checks needed for that activity.

The article also describes an option for Zil Money to print and mail a check. It mentions a $1.25 mailing option alongside USPS and FedEx delivery, as part of the service information published in May 2025.

Tracking and bank controls

The company describes eChecks sent to a payee’s email address and a dashboard for tracking check and delivery status. Creating, printing or emailing a check is a document-delivery step.

Zil Money also identifies Positive Pay support, encryption and multi-factor authentication among its controls. Positive Pay is described as helping the user’s financial institution identify unauthorized or altered checks. Those controls and the design tools are presented as features of the existing service.
