DraftKings and InComm Payments have agreed to launch retail gift cards in $25 and $50 denominations. The December 2020 announcement adds a physical gift product to DraftKings’ payment options and places the brand in established retail gift card displays.
Retailers named in the rollout include 7-Eleven, Speedway, Dollar General and Sheetz. InComm said its wider distribution relationships span convenience, pharmacy and general-merchandise stores across the United States.
DraftKings co-founder and North America president Matt Kalish said the cards would provide another method for customers to fund accounts and give others access to the company’s real-money products. The companies presented the launch as a first for the category.
InComm described the physical distribution agreement as a way to expand DraftKings’ visibility beyond its digital services. The partnership connects a gaming brand with retail locations already equipped to sell prepaid and gift card products.
