InComm Payments has launched Roblox gift cards in Hong Kong, describing the release as the first local availability of the platform’s gift cards. The May 2024 announcement covers both online sales and a planned expansion into physical retail during the second quarter.

Online purchasers can choose denominations from HK$50 to HK$4,000. InComm named 7-Eleven, Circle K, HKTVmall, Alipay+, Suning and Game Source Entertainment among the retail channels included in the rollout.

Michael Georgiadis, InComm’s senior vice president for South Asia, said retailers were seeing demand for products connected with customers’ preferred games and virtual experiences. The company presented the addition as a way for Hong Kong merchants to serve that demand through an existing gift card distribution channel.

InComm entered Hong Kong in 2012 and has developed local relationships around prepaid products and activation at the point of sale. The Roblox launch adds another digital-entertainment brand to those operations while allowing consumers to buy through both online and in-person channels.
