Bitrefill and Mezo announced a partnership in July 2025 that connects Mezo's Bitcoin-backed MUSD with gift card purchases through Mezo Market. The integration gives MUSD users a spending route into products supplied by Bitrefill.

Mezo users can borrow against Bitcoin collateral to create MUSD and then use that value in the marketplace. This is a collateral-backed borrowing mechanism, distinct from directly selling Bitcoin to fund a purchase.

The gift card examples in the announcement included Amazon, Uber Eats, Airbnb and Steam. Bitrefill also identified eSIMs among the products users could access, alongside hundreds of other options.

For Mezo, the partnership provides a practical spending use for MUSD. For Bitrefill, it adds another cryptocurrency-related route into its digital product catalogue through an external marketplace.
