eGifter has completed an asset acquisition of Gift Card Partners, bringing gift-card programme management and healthcare incentives expertise into a business that already supplies technology to the acquired operation. The company announced the transaction on October 5 without disclosing financial terms. [S01]
The existing connection is central to the deal: eGifter Rewards already powers Gift Card Partners’ Engage2Reward platform. Ownership of the client relationships and service capability is changing around a technology relationship that was already in place. This is an asset acquisition, rather than an announcement that Engage2Reward has just adopted eGifter for the first time. [S01]
Programme services join the underlying technology
Gift Card Partners was founded in 2005 and is based in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts. It works with brands operating gift-card programmes and with corporations, nonprofits and healthcare organisations distributing incentives. The acquired business therefore spans both the merchant selling stored value and the organisation using that value as a reward. [S01]
eGifter says the transaction strengthens its Professional Services division, which was launched following its 2025 acquisition of SB Collectiv. The new deal continues the addition of service expertise around its consumer, merchant and enterprise rewards technology. The companies did not provide a client total or a financial contribution for the acquired assets. [S01]
The division’s current service description is vendor-agnostic: it offers programme management, marketing, creative work and operations support across a client’s existing processors and distribution partners. eGifter says customers do not have to change platforms to use those services. That distinction matters because the acquisition expands a service business as well as the supplier’s technology relationships. [S02]
Combining these functions can give an incentive buyer one supplier relationship for programme design, gift-card distribution and ongoing support. For eGifter, the potential benefit is a broader role in the client’s programme. That is a commercial implication of the arrangement; the announcement does not quantify additional sales or cost savings.
A historical Gift Card Partners case shows the kind of operating work behind that service. Its 2023 case study says an unnamed New York City managed-care organisation reduced the window from a qualifying health activity to receipt of a CVS Select card from about six weeks under manual fulfilment to three weeks with Engage2Reward. The detailed results page identifies two weeks as a future target, although an earlier paragraph loosely says two or three. No recipient count, exact observation dates or independent audit is supplied. This is the vendor's account of prior work, not an outcome of the 2026 acquisition. [S04]
