The Mie Matsusaka Marathon organizing committee in Japan has opened a public tender for 2,500 custom-printed gift cards carrying ¥500 each. Its September 29 announcement requires delivery by November 18, with bids scheduled to open on October 16. [S01][S02]
The specification names QUO card product ST005070 as its reference. Suppliers proposing a different product must obtain approval for an equivalent before submitting their bid. The notice therefore establishes a purchasing opportunity, rather than a completed agreement with QUO or a named distributor. [S02]
The requested cards have a combined face value of ¥1.25 million, calculated from the stated quantity and ¥500 denomination. That is not the contract price: bidders must include transport and packaging in their tax-inclusive quotation. [S01][S02]
For comparison, the organiser’s 2025 specification requested 3,500 cards, also carrying JPY500 each and using the same QUO reference product. The 2026 requirement is 2,500 cards. These are specified purchasing quantities; they do not establish the number ultimately distributed or explain the difference between editions. [S02][S03]

Requested procurement volumes, not confirmed purchases or distribution. Both specifications state JPY500 per card and cite QUO ST005070 as a reference product, subject to approved equivalents. The documents do not explain the quantity change.

The design specification calls for PET cards measuring 85 by 57.5 millimetres, with full-colour printing across one side and individual OPP bags. The committee will provide its logo artwork, while positioning of text and graphics must be agreed before production. The attached illustration carries a volunteer thank-you message and the marathon logo. [S02]
The purchasing office sits within the sports division of Matsusaka City’s education board secretariat. Applicants must meet the municipal procurement requirements and have registration for the gift-supplies business category. Participation applications close at 1 p.m. on October 14; postal bids must arrive by October 15. Hand-delivered bids are not accepted. [S01]
The committee says opening results will subsequently be published on the event’s official website. The current documents specify manufacture, supply and delivery requirements, but do not confirm a winning supplier or completed card distribution. The November delivery deadline is a procurement milestone, not a stated deadline for spending the cards. [S01][S02]
