The City of New Britain, Connecticut, has partnered with Rellevate to introduce its Digital Account with Pay Any-Day to municipal employees. The arrangement was announced on May 19, 2021.

The service allows employees to access eligible earned wages before their regular payday. Rellevate said it imposes no charge on the employer and described an account without monthly subscription fees, credit checks or minimum balance requirements.

Employees can also use bill payment, money sending and a Visa debit card through the account. The disclosure identifies Sutton Bank as the banking-services provider and the card issuer, operating under a Visa U.S.A. license.

Mayor Erin Stewart said flexible access to earned wages could help employees meet personal bills and unexpected household costs. Rellevate chief executive Stewart Stockdale described the account as a way for the city to add payment services to its employee benefits.

International Governmental Strategies introduced Rellevate to New Britain. The government-relations firm's principal, Jim Amann, emphasized the absence of an employer charge and the fit with the city's financial-wellness objectives.

Rellevate's product range also included gift and incentive cards, alongside its employer-distributed digital financial services. This city partnership applies the Digital Account and Pay Any-Day products to the municipal workforce.
