The Municipalidad de Providencia in Chile has opened a tender for 948 gift cards for its employee welfare service's 2026 Christmas benefit. The procurement record was first published on October 5 and remains open for bids until October 28. [S01]

The municipality plans to pay CLP 45,500 per card, giving the purchase an estimated budget of CLP 43,134,000. That figure describes the buyer's cost, rather than establishing the balance recipients will receive: the competition asks suppliers to offer bonus value. [S01]

Bonuses dominate the selection. The proposed bonus percentage carries 85% of the evaluation score, followed by redemption locations at 10%, formal requirements at 3% and an integrity programme at 2%. Bonus scoring also takes priority in the tie-breaking sequence. [S01]

Acceptance requirements reach beyond the amount loaded. Cards must cover groceries, clothing, footwear and household appliances, without excluding any of those categories, at the supplier's stores or branches in the Metropolitan Region. An online redemption offer must also let recipients obtain all covered products in person, including groceries. [S01]

The structure therefore rewards additional purchasing value while setting a physical-store access requirement for any online offer. The Christmas benefit is intended for welfare-service affiliates with at least six months of membership. [S01]

The timetable lists December 15 for adjudication. It does not identify a winning supplier or establish that the cards have been issued. [S01]
