Rellevate appointed Justin Simmons as vice president of operations on April 14, 2022, adding an executive focused on operational tools, analytics and reporting to its management team. Simmons joined the employer-focused digital banking and payments provider from VMLY&R.
The company said his experience included designing in-house tools to streamline processes and make data more visible to decision-makers. His work at Rellevate was expected to support both the company and its partner organizations, including employers offering financial services to their employees.
Simmons said he planned to develop data-driven strategies and reporting tools as Rellevate expanded. The announcement highlighted employee access to money between paydays as one of the use cases those employer relationships would support.
Rellevate's app and Digital Account included Pay Any-Day, its earned wage access service, together with Bill Pay, Money Send and a Visa debit card. In its April 2022 description, the company said the platform carried no charge to employers and that the account had no monthly subscription fee, credit check or minimum balance requirement.
The fintech also listed gift and incentive cards within its wider portfolio. The appointment addressed operations across the business; the announcement did not describe a separate gift card product release or publish any change to card issuing arrangements.
Simmons held bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology from the University of Northern Iowa. Rellevate cited his interest in investigating unusual data and improving reporting visibility as part of the background he brought to the operations role.
