Runa, then known as WeGift, reported adding more than 120 brands to its rewards catalogue during the first six months of 2022. In an August update, it also said it had signed more new customers in that period than during all of 2021 and had passed 100 full-time employees.

The brand additions named in the announcement included Airbnb, Nike, Instacart, Dunkin', Dick's Sporting Goods and Aldi. The company positioned the broader range around employee rewards, marketing incentives, customer loyalty and other business-to-individual payouts.

New customer examples included WishList, ThanksBen and Xoxoday. The company also reported renewals and extended engagements among existing customers, though it did not give a retention rate or the total number of new accounts.

Perkbox's director of strategic alliances, Joel Tobias, described an expanded brand selection and reduced administrative time after integrating the provider. The statement was a customer account, without a quantified time-saving figure in the release.

The platform supported retail gift cards, prepaid cards, subscriptions and charitable donations. Its announced coverage was 30 countries and 18 currencies, with API integration and reporting among the capabilities described for business programmes.

Founder and chief executive Aron Alexander connected the first-half milestones with the company's effort to simplify payouts from organisations to individuals. The reported growth measures relate to the first half of 2022, even though the update appeared in August.
