The company now known as Runa reviewed its 2022 activity in a January 2023 update, highlighting product development, reward research and a £26 million Series B funding round. The financing closed in November 2022, when the business was known as WeGift.
The provider said the funds would support expansion of its digital currency network and additional features. The review also referred to planned tools and enhancements for the following year, rather than presenting those future items as already released in 2022.
Its research activity included a survey of attitudes towards corporate gifts, a webinar on reward and recognition psychology, and a three-part employee rewards guide. The company described those outputs as resources for customers designing their programmes.
The review named Amazon, Apple and DoorDash among the brands available through its reward network and said more brands would be added in 2023. It also cited work with Sodexo, Perkbox and Vodafone on employee and customer recognition.
The article brought together those activities as a year-end account. The £26 million figure relates to the November 2022 funding round, while the publication date is January 2023.
