YOUGotaGift introduced its YOÜProcess gift card processing service through a partnership with Saudi electronics and home-appliance retailer eXtra. The companies announced the relationship at Seamless Saudi in 2023.

Under the arrangement, eXtra planned a new branded gift card programme using YOUGotaGift’s technology. Customers would be able to buy and redeem cards through both online and physical retail channels.

The deal marks an expansion from YOUGotaGift’s established distribution business into processing and programme management in Saudi Arabia. The company said its local experience and technology would support the retailer’s rollout.

The announcement was presented by YOUGotaGift chief executive Husain Makiya and eXtra’s Ahmed Mostafa Kamal. It described the programme as part of the companies’ wider collaboration in the market.

For a retailer, connecting issuance and redemption across channels makes the same gift card useful beyond a single checkout environment. That is the operational capability set out in the partnership announcement.
