VoucherCart has published a WordPress plugin that connects its gift-voucher platform to WooCommerce checkout. Vouchers issued through VoucherCart become coupons in the merchant's WooCommerce store, with codes, expiry dates and redemption status kept in sync. [S01]

The company's public WordPress activity records an initial repository commit and the release tag for version 1.0.7 on September 18. That establishes the public directory release, rather than the first possible availability of an integration distributed elsewhere. [S02]

Account costs and the balance-control workflow

The plugin requires an active VoucherCart account and WooCommerce, together with WordPress 6.5 or newer and PHP 8.1 or newer. It provides the store-side redemption connection; vouchers continue to be created and managed through VoucherCart.

The underlying account has a subscription cost even though the directory page does not quote it. On October 19, VoucherCart's UK pricing selector showed GBP 25 per month for Business and GBP 75 for Pro when monthly billing was selected. The plans include one and up to ten redemption locations respectively. These are platform account prices, not a separate price for the WooCommerce plugin. [S03]

The pricing page adds sales commission from 4%; the fee guide states 4% of monthly sales and says a GBP 2 minimum manual-order fee, or billing-currency equivalent, may apply below its minimum order requirements. The merchant agreement states charges exclude VAT unless specified otherwise. A merchant's total cost therefore depends on sales and applicable services as well as the subscription. The connector reports checkout redemptions, including partial use, to VoucherCart. Its directory description says it cancels a reported redemption when a coupon is removed or an order is cancelled. However, the current operating guide says a completed order that is subsequently cancelled or refunded does not restore the voucher balance automatically: the merchant must cancel the redemption in VoucherCart. Those published descriptions should not be read as an unconditional automatic-refund promise. [S01] [S04]

This addresses a practical requirement for vouchers used across more than one purchase: applying a discount to one order must not leave the store with an outdated view of what remains available. The listing describes the synchronization behavior but does not provide performance benchmarks or merchant usage results.

A subsequent update, version 1.0.8, corrected a problem in which a multi-use voucher could be blocked after its first order despite retaining value. The next version changed the plugin's name without adding functionality. These changes form part of the same public release sequence.

The operating guide limits compatible vouchers to Flexible Monetary and Monetary with options. Multiple-use vouchers retain the unspent balance; a single-use voucher loses the remainder after use. Only vouchers sold after connection become WooCommerce coupons. Disconnecting leaves existing coupons in the store but stops synchronization, so later activity can cause balances to diverge. [S04]

According to the developer's listing, redemption reporting sends a voucher reference and the discounted amount, while a reversal sends the identifier for the earlier redemption. The developer says customer details and order contents are not transmitted. That is the vendor's description of its data handling, rather than an independent security assessment.

The connector's practical role is to make issued voucher value usable at WooCommerce checkout while keeping the account and store aligned. Subscription selection, voucher configuration and the handling of completed-order refunds remain separate merchant decisions. [S03] [S04]
