Incentivefox has discussed prepaid card rewards as part of programmes for employee recognition, customer loyalty and referrals. Its April 13, 2022 guide argues that incentives need to be connected to clear, measurable actions and delivered as promised.
The article draws on a collection of earlier studies and supplier research rather than presenting a new Incentivefox survey. Several of the employee findings are explicitly compared with 2011 results, making them historical evidence within the guide rather than measurements of the 2022 workforce.
Among the Parago findings cited, 61% of employees said a $25 prepaid card would meet their expectations for an end-of-year reward, compared with 55% in 2011. The guide also reports that 85% would be satisfied with a prepaid card worth $100 or less, and that 57% selected prepaid cards as their preferred employer holiday gift.
Incentivefox connects the appeal of prepaid cards with recipients’ ability to use them at multiple retailers. It cites another Parago finding that 85% of respondents would feel grateful to receive one. The article does not identify a single survey period for all of the Parago figures it brings together.
The other research cited spans different incentive objectives. Incentivefox attributes a 79% reported success rate against programme goals to DCR Strategies, and a finding that more than 35% of incentivised leads completed a test drive to Hooklogic. These concern separate programmes and measures, rather than a common benchmark for every reward campaign.
The guide also contrasts the intention to reward with the recipient experience. It cites research about unused loyalty punch cards and the effort required to earn benefits, alongside employee responses linking rewards with feeling appreciated or motivated.
For businesses considering an incentive programme, Incentivefox’s stated operating principle is to define the qualifying behaviour, track it and fulfil the promised reward. The prepaid card examples illustrate one reward format within that wider approach.
