Preferred Patron set out a loyalty program rollout that works alongside a business’s existing point-of-sale system in May 2026. The provider argued that adding customer retention tools did not necessarily require replacing checkout hardware or rebuilding the sales process.
The platform functions described included points, digital stamps, rewards, tiers, gift cards, automated email and SMS, and reporting. The company positioned them as features that could be introduced in stages rather than activated all at once.
The recommended starting point was a simple program with quick member enrollment and clear earning rules. Birthday rewards, win-back messages, referrals or additional tiers could follow after employees became comfortable with the basic workflow.
For staff training, Preferred Patron advised focusing on a brief signup prompt and a clear explanation of the customer benefit. The aim was to introduce loyalty without adding a long conversation to every checkout transaction.
The guide also recommended looking beyond signup totals after launch. Repeat visits, reward redemption, spending and member responses to follow-up messages were presented as more useful evidence of continuing participation. Preferred Patron described this approach for small businesses as well as organizations that expected to expand across multiple locations.
