SB Gift began selling Lawson-specific QUO Card Pay through its QUO Card Pay shop on LINE Gift on September 8, 2026. QUO Card’s same-day issuer disclosure separately confirms the launch and the three products, which carry reusable balances for participating Lawson group stores. [S01][S02]

The launch selling price is 20% above the recipient’s balance

The advertised combinations are JPY 4,200 paid for JPY 3,500 of value, JPY 6,000 for JPY 5,000, and JPY 12,000 for JPY 10,000. The difference is JPY 700, JPY 1,000 or JPY 2,000 respectively. Dividing each difference by its redeemable face value gives the same 20% markup. The buyer’s expenditure therefore cannot be reported as value delivered to the recipient. [S01][S02]

Neither announcement explains how the difference is allocated among the issuer, distributor, platform or other costs. It is therefore not a disclosed commission rate for any one party. Impress Watch’s September 8 report independently reports the same price schedule and the standard and birthday designs available across all three values. The publicly accessible LINE storefront confirms the shop identity but did not expose a complete live product-price catalogue in the saved response. [S01][S02][S03][S04]

QUO Card is the issuer and SB Gift operates the LINE Gift shop. Recipients open the delivered URL on a smartphone and show the payment barcode, without needing a dedicated QUO Card Pay app or account registration. The recipient can spend the balance over multiple visits rather than redeeming it for one specified item. A shortfall can generally be paid in cash, subject to merchant exceptions. [S01][S02]

This version is restricted to participating Lawson, Natural Lawson, Lawson Store 100 and L Minimat locations, with some stores excluded. Its acceptance should not be expanded to every merchant that accepts general QUO Card Pay or physical QUO cards. The launch publications do not specify a universal expiry for these particular LINE Gift products, so they do not support an inferred validity period. [S01][S02]

SB Gift describes personal gifts, promotional prizes, survey rewards, event incentives and employee benefits as intended uses. These are use cases rather than documented corporate deployments. The company, established in 2006, supplies digital gifts and online-to-offline services, but the releases disclose no sales volume, distribution target, revenue forecast or commercial allocation of the price premium for this launch.
