Snipp Interactive promoted Ritika Garg to chief marketing officer on August 13, elevating a marketing leader who has spent more than a decade with the loyalty and promotions technology company. The appointment gives a senior title to an executive whose existing work spans brand strategy, demand generation and global marketing execution. [S01]

Snipp supplies purchase-validation technology and runs promotions, loyalty, rebate and reward programmes for brands and their partners. Its rewards offering includes digital and physical gift cards, making the marketing appointment relevant to the commercial development of a fulfilment operator as well as a software business. [S02]

An internal promotion after a rebrand

According to Snipp, Garg most recently led its global rebrand and repositioning. Her earlier responsibilities included building demand-generation activity, content marketing, public relations and bringing the company's offering to market. Chief executive Atul Sabharwal cited her knowledge of the business and market in explaining the promotion. [S01]

The company said Garg has more than 20 years of advertising and marketing experience. Before joining Snipp, she worked on consumer and business-to-business campaigns and brand launches. That background makes the appointment a continuation of an established marketing function, with the company retaining experience accumulated through its development. [S01]

Connecting discovery with a complex rewards offering

Garg described AI as changing how business buyers find and assess technology suppliers. She said her priorities include helping suitable customers discover Snipp, understand its offering and generate inbound demand. Those are stated marketing objectives; the announcement supplies no campaign results or evidence of improved customer acquisition attributable to AI. [S01]

The commercial challenge is broader than promoting a reward catalogue. Snipp connects proof of a qualifying purchase with the programme that promises a benefit, then supports reward delivery and reporting. A potential client has to understand both the promotion technology and the operational work that follows a customer's participation. [S01]

For gift cards, Snipp says its platform supports API integration or a managed service, funding rewards when delivered and reporting on issued and redeemed value. Those capabilities explain why its marketing must address programme owners and operational buyers, alongside brand teams deciding how to attract participation. [S02]

The promotion itself does not change those delivery arrangements. Its immediate effect is leadership responsibility for presenting an existing portfolio to the market. Whether the new marketing phase produces more customers or stronger demand will require subsequent operating evidence beyond the appointment announcement.
